Conservates, Don't Fall for Their Con Job

You and I were stunned by the overreach of government this past year!

But even in the midst of the never-ending coronavirus chaos, political upheaval, and ongoing civil unrest in urban centers across the country, your State legislature may soon consider legislation that could destroy what remains of our U.S. Constitution.

16 states have been conned into this ill-conceived idea of passing legislation that applies for an Article V Constitutional Convention.

If enough states pass similar measures and a convention is called, the entire U.S. Constitution would be at risk of revisions or worse!

You and I both know the federal government has been ignoring the limits placed on it by the Constitution for decades.

But this last year has made crystal clear just how little your rights and our Constitution mean to governors and state legislators of BOTH parties across the country!

Many governors trashed the Constitution by sentencing citizens to house arrest and shutting down all businesses deemed “non-essential,” and our state legislators have barely mustered a whimper in your defense!

These very politicians from states across America are jockeying to be delegates to an Article V Convention, tasked with “fixing” the Constitution they themselves have turned their backs on and refused to defend.

It’s CRITICAL you take action to stop them!

Please contact your state representative IMMEDIATELY and demand they actively oppose and vote NO on the Convention of States application!

Some legislators think rewriting the Constitution at an Article V Con-Con will finally bring the federal government to heel.

But when politicians routinely ignore the rule of law with impunity, rewriting the Constitution isn’t going to change that!

Some groups pushing these measures insist a convention can be limited to certain types or categories of changes.

But most scholars agree that the scope of a convention cannot be limited.

What’s more, Article V of the Constitution only allows states to apply to Congress for a convention -- it doesn’t empower the states to have ANY control over the convention itself.

Once 34 states have submitted similar applications, Congress issues the “call.”

Article V doesn’t give the states any control over the convention details -- contrary to the hubris of some pro-convention groups.

And David, we only have one historical convention that gives us precedent . . . the Convention of 1787 that gave us the present Constitution.

That convention was called with instructions to simply fix issues with the Articles of Confederation.

But once convened, those instructions were thrown out the window.

The convention went into a secretive “committee of the whole” and wrote a new Constitution.

Not only that, but they also changed the rules for ratification!

We were extremely blessed that most of the men at that convention favored limited government. . .

. . . today, we won’t be so blessed.

Establishment politicians and special interests today crave even MORE power and authority to impose their will on you and me.

Can you imagine the amount of money and resources that will be brought to bear on a convention from the special interests, corporate interests, and elitist media who are clamoring to end your First, Second, and Fourth Amendment rights?

Literally hundreds of progressive organizations, such as Sierra Club, Code Pink, Alliance for Progressive Values, MoveOn, and “Occupy,” have been pushing for a convention since 2009!

Organizations from the left -- many of them backed by billionaire George Soros -- want to limit your political speech rights, do away with the Electoral College, and end the Second Amendment.

But the attacks aren’t just coming from the left.

One well financed organization from the right recently held a “simulated,” scripted convention -- meant to “prove” a convention is safe -- that actually backfired when it INCREASED federal power and limited states’ rights!

David, don’t fall for the con.

Don’t trust the hundreds of progressive organizations calling for an Article V Convention to do the right thing and rein in the federal government.

Don’t trust the powerful special interests, backed by George Soros and his ilk, to ignore this golden opportunity to fundamentally transform America.

Don’t trust the progressive states, such as California, New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois, to protect your liberty.

AND, don’t trust the President of the Convention of States Mark Meckler, who routinely lies to legislators about this process. Meckler since taking over the social media site, “Parler” has conspired with Apple building a mechanism for censorship in order to get back into their good graces.

Just imagine what will happen at a convention being held to manipulate the U.S. Constitution, with BOTH Republican and Democrat establishment and hundreds of progressive, George Soros-types pulling the strings.

A convention is extremely dangerous -- especially today!

An Article V Convention simply must be stopped.

The hard truth is this, state legislatures have the power to stop the Federal overreach right now through a strict budget process, and by not playing the Federal “carrot and the stick” game—but that takes people with a spine! It also takes, what the framers of our Constitution referred to as ,“eternal vigilance” to maintain what we have.
